Pre-Production Batmobile as delivered Oct. 11, 1965
- Flat black primer, airbrushed white pinstripes, red door bats, red wheel bats, extended white stripes down nose, striped ridge line on top outer sides on front, Bat-Ray lens not outlined, all 4 trunk louvres edges painted
- drivers "side view" mirror
- No interior labels at all, no Batphone, no blue triangular knobs, fire extinguisher bat sticker positioned toward bottom (later moved upwards towards center of cylinder)
- no start buttons, no "Homing Receiver Scope" dash knob
- Micky Thompson "Mercedes symbol" detail tires
- no rear antenna installed

1ST SEASON episodes 1-34 (January 12, 1966-May 5, 1966)

- 11/12 "A Riddle a Day" all 5 red lights under arch on dash flash off/on in sequence during use of "HOMING RECEIVER SCOPE" component. Side arch light alternate off on and are red, BATBEAM antenna extends to it's highest point
- 15/16 "The Joker Goes To School" BAT SCOPE test pattern seen in 2nd compartment right of steering wheel on dash, 3rd red light-"button" on light display activated it, chain cutter blade seems to have been removed
Trunk open to reveal the "ANTI-CRIME RECORDER" & "REMOTE RADIO PICK-UP"
- **19/20 "The Purr-fect Crime" {March 16-17, 1966} Safety Bat-Belts added,
BAT-BEAM used for the first time (**Note in this episode it's color changed from silver to gold/brass**), trunk is opened by button/lever? located in rear driver area behind and to the door side of the seat, trunk lid held open manually, slams shut, BAT-ARMOUR used, "TIRE REPAIR DEVICE" button used and label seen, (temp. only for this episode seen attached to third roll top dash door) interesting that the BAT RAM lever on dash is seen in this episode in close up of the BAT-O-METER, but it is not seen on the dash in far away shots, its appearance is not used until 23/24
- **21/22 "The Penguin Goes Straight" {March 23-24, 1966} Blinking not spinning beacon light, Batmobile converted to the BIRDMOBILE, complete with Penguin door decals, giant umbrella gun on driver side and umbrella parasol over drivers head (temp. for this episode only)
Note: rear antenna was removed for trunk opening, Also note that in close up static shots the beacon flashes, in moving on the road shots as the BIRDMOBILE it spins??....remote control ejector button used pass. side, as does the remote control steering, both controlled from the Batcycle
- **23/24 "The Ring Of Wax" {March 30-31, 1966} front BAT RAM added and removed after this episode but lever added to dash remains, rear antenna re-installed
Padding added to front arch to support horizontal middle segment of the front canopy (eliminates the gap)
- 27/28 "The Curse Of Tut" BATSMOKE label added under START BUTTON (temp. only used in this episode), driver ejector seat used
- note: 1st season no underneath afterburner box, but TV Guide photo and b/w PSA film about driving safety, both probably shot/filmed at the same time at the very end of the 1st season, shows the short tube with the box.
so the afterburner box must have been added after season 1 was finished shooting to the short burner then kept in place for the long burner which was added for the full length movie)
1966 full lenth BATMAN MOVIE Aug 3, 1966
- **Elongated afterburner tube added with underneath "burner box"/camera
Interior structure of afterburner was changed with an addition of a central burn tube
- round rear antenna base replaces elongated antenna base
Gas filler flap seems to have been added to top of passager wing area
2ND SEASON episodes 35-94 (September 7, 1966-March 30, 1967)
- 37/38 "Hot Off The Griddle" trunk auto opens and closes via button/switch (unknown) in rear area drivers side
- 43/44 "The Greatest Mother of them All" {Oct. 5-6, 1966}wire added to hold long BAT TURN lever in fowards position,
hood seen open. 5 dash light array now shows multiple colors, possibly yellow, red, blue, orange, yellow. Change occured sometime after movie (all red)
- 45/46 "The Clock King's Crazy Crimes" BATSCOPE used (Note: BATSCOPE changed and moved to larger rolltop dash compartment #4 (old Futura's radio compartment), from original compartment #3. ,
BAT PENCIL (blue wax) added and used, and BAT SUPER ROCKET label/button NOW seen in second roll dash compartment to the right of the steering wheel (was BATSCOPE compartment prior),
BATPHOTOSCOPE label added (temp only for this episode) and the actual button that was used for the BATSCOPE was relocated to be used as the BATPHOTOSCOPE button.
- **47/48 "An Egg Grows in Gotham" {Oct. 19-20, 1966}BAT-TURN lever is shortened and moved back a bit, but still under the beacon
switch under arch turns off blinking beacon light - arch support is empty front to back, no co2 nozzle
- 57/58 "Marsha, Queen of Diamonds" {Nov 23, 1966}, short Bat-Turn lever is held in a fowards position by wire attached to underneath arch.
"Just Married" sign added to pass. rear panel and tin cans tied to back (Temp. just for this episode)

- after 61/62 "The Penguin's Nest" {Dec. 7-8, 1966} **Fiberglass replica molds were constructed. Remember that shooting dates predates airdates by estimated by 3-4 weeks prior.
- **63/64 "The Cat's Meow" {Dec. 14-15, 1966} New shiny new paint job pinstripes not new, **incomplete nose nostrils pinstripe at top,
Barris crest removed!; BATRAY lens not outlined on bottom, grill edge still striped. Male snaps removed from flat area on perimeter of canopy base. Door bats still the same
- 67/68 front grill and eye cowl pinstripping shows chipping
- **69/70 "The Contaminated Cowl" {Jan. 4-5, 1967} REPLICA IN BATCAVE
- 71/72/73 "The Zodiac Crimes" {Jan 11, 1967}trunk antenna missing, base still present
**BATRAM seen removed from dash, wires visable at dash/arch area, black tape? noted around "Increase Output" dial (POLICE BAND CUT-IN label temp. this episode).
- 74/75 "That Darn Catwoman" incomplete nose paint, still incomplete at tip, no crest,
- 76 scene in batcave show dented batmobile
- 77 "Penguin Sets A Trend" Batmobile is driverless! Temp. for this episode, notice large seat back to conceal driver, cut Futura wheel section gap was filled in for this driving stunt, you can notice the stunt driver hand on wheel in still frame.
BATNET deploys from trunk
- 81 trunk lid open to 90 degrees and stays open without support
- 89/90 no trunk antenna, canopy corner braces show phillips screws instead of slotted screws (not sure when changed occured?)
3RD SEASON episodes 95-120 (September 14, 1967-March 14, 1968)
- New paint, new pinstripes
- Nose nostrils repainted
- no outline of BAT RAY lens, including grill area now
- solid red door bat (no white outline) attached with 2 fasteners
- still no barris crest
- full circular Edsel wheel
- short BAT-TURN lever moved to back of arch
- rear canopy frame now under rear arch, rear canopy shows arch pad on top of canopy
This is FIRST season
This is THIRD season
- verticle arch support front filled in no co2 nozzle showing
- afterburner still retains the burner box
- antenna base removed, (left a single hole)
- Rader rims were changed from deep dish to regular depth Rader in the 3rd season.
- 5 light array under arch on dash, not all red, multiple colors now, maybe blue, red, blue, red, green
- A pair of bolts now secures the front canopy frame to the underlying arch (see yellow arrows) and the Bat-Beam antenna flip flops from a broken old brass unit to a trisket like silver unit.
- 100 "The Unkindest Tut Of All" {Oct. 19, 1967} black tape appears to have been added to front canopy frames (removed by 105 The Londinium Larcenies)
- 101 Louie the lilac, flower decal added to front pass. panel for "flower-in" (temp. only for this episode)
sometimes BATBEAM antenna is left in up position
- **102 "The Ogg and I" {Nov. 2-9, 1967} BAT GEIGER COUNTER box added to dash (see picture above)
- 105/106/107 "The Londinium Larcenies" ZEF-451 license plate added to front bumper (temp. only for this episode) Note: plate was also added to rear but was not seen in episode.
- 109 "OGG COUPLE" BATBEAM antenna up position, missing some horizontal bars, maybe missing one or two of the 4 fins segments
- 119 "THE ENTRANCING DR. CASSANDRA"The Batmobile arrives in the Batcave driverless w/ effects same as seen in #77
- The 3 license plates 2F-3567, TP-6597, BAT-1, were seen throughout the series with repeated stock footage. The ZEF 451 was only seen in the Londinium episode. Note: 2F-3567 and TP-6597 are on the short afterburner tube so season 1 footage, the BAT-1 is on the long burner so season 2-3
